This painting grew out of a quiet moment I witnessed in Alaska, when a mother bear leaned in close to her cub in a gesture that was both protective and deeply tender. Standing at a distance, I felt that bond stir something in me—a reminder of how instinct and love are intertwined in every species. Painting it on wood felt fitting, grounding the image in something as raw and enduring as the wild itself.
